On November 14th, the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be honoring Philadelphia social life photographer and journalist HughE Dillon as this year’s recipient of the Lifesaver of the Year Award.
Each year, the foundation bestows the humanitarian award to an individual who shares the foundations mission to end the silence and reduce the stigma around mental illness and suicide. HughE has supported the foundations annual Out of the Darkness Community Walks as well as the National Overnight Walk which went on to raise more than $2 Million dollars for research (June 2014).
AFSP’s annual Life Saver of the Year Award Gala will be taking place at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Center City Philadelphia (12th & Market Streets). The event will feature a night of dinner and dancing, auction items, and live performances by Second Vision as well as DJ Adrian Hardy.
